Story about Baltašiškė
Jonas Palis’ wife was the youngest of ŠIŠKĖ family‘s daughters. She was the only one that had a whitet skin and golden hair, the other ones were dark-haired and had brown eyes. She would always wear her hair in PLAIT. This family lived aside from the others, not too far from Aukštakalnis. Palis‘ wife was very homesick of her homestead and visited her parents very often, helped them as much as she could. All family members loved her for her generosity and kindness. Since she moved out from the parents’ house people named that place: BLOND – ŠIŠKĖ. In Lithuanian it is spelled Baltašiškė.
That is why the room has a symbol of a GOLDEN PLAIT.
