Story about Liškiava
There was a big and steep bank on the river Nemunas. A grey-headed old dude named Kėva lived on that bank. People gave ‘Lisper’ a nick name to him. He could not spell letter ‘s’, so he would always say ‘sh’ instead. Lisper was very good at predicting the weather. He would look at the sky three times and would say it will rain.. it will rain.. it will rain (in Lithuanian he was supposed to say lis.. lis… lis but it would come out as lish.. lish.. lish…Then people started calling his house LISH-KĖVA. That’s why the town is called Liškiava. The room has a rain drop symbol.
